Week #86

This week we had 2 conferences.

We had Zone Conference in Lyon, which was awesome and we had our Branch Conference in Corsica.

There were 44 people at church this Sunday, which I think is the most we have ever had. It was powerful as we all sang.
I gave a very short talk about faith in Jesus Christ.
Using Matt 8:23-27 I spoke about how the apostles were scared because of the storm. I explained that even though they had seen The Saviour perform miracles in the past, they were amazed at how the winds and the seas obeyed his voice. They didn’t fully understand who He was. They didn’t fully understand what power He has. I think we are like the apostles. We are afraid and worried but I think it is because we really do not understand exactly who Jesus Christ is. We really do not understand just how powerful, merciful and wonderful He is. We need to trust Him. I love the fact that even though His apostles did not fully understand who He is, he was merciful and always helped them, even if they were of little faith at times. I am grateful for His mercy and love.

It is difficult to explain in writing but I think you understand what I mean through this experience from the life of the Saviour.

Well I love you all loads,

Trust the Saviour

Week #85

Hi there,

So I pretty much perspire all the time. It is normally about 30° all the time if not hotter at certain points of the day. The sun is always shinning. We are getting pretty tanned and I have a really awesome farmer’s tan.
We continue to run every morning and it feels great to start the day off in the fresh air.

This week we had many visitors at church who are here on vacation. This coming Sunday is our Branch conference and we are going to have tons of people at church. The Stake Presidency will be here as well as other stake leaders. We have 2 families who are visiting on vacation and all the members from the other side of the island will be attending as well. It will be a full house.

We have been having some difficulties teaching our miracle family due to the extensive work of the father. He recently has been working on Sunday as well. We continue to keep contact daily though and follow up on their reading and prayers. They pray morning and evening as a family and alone. They are awesome.

We were able to teach a pure Corsican this week. It was really a great experience. I could tell that certain experiences in his life had opened him up to the Gospel and other experiences he had closed him to the gospel. We just need to focus on the positive experiences then.

Had a wonderful contact with a young lady in the road. We love teaching the first vision in street contacts. It feels more like we are teaching all the time that way, even if we are just talking to people on the street.

We will be going to Lyon this week for Zone conference and interviews.
I received some exciting news from some of my former missionary colleague and I am grateful that they spent the time to contact me and let me know how life is after the mission.

I love you all loads.
I feel so blessed to have the best family and friends ever.

Week #84

Hey there,

So first off, the family loved your letter Krystal. They laughed a lot as they read it. Thank you so much for being so awesome and sending them the letter. They said that your language skills are incredible.

Mom I am excited to watch you play in the band in the future. If not you can just play me a super awesome solo.

It is getting hotter and hotter her. I like it!!!!!!
It is sometimes hard to sleep though but we are getting used to it.

This Sunday I had an interesting experience. I did a recommend interview for the first time. It was a great experience. Luckily, it was a fast Sunday, so I felt extra prepared.

We are really blessed here, to be able to teach this wonderful family in a member’s home, for each lesson. They really can see and feel the difference between our member’s home and the outside world. They tell her how peaceful it is and how happy they are to come to her home every time. They joked once and said they wanted us to teach them 2x a day.

My companion is really awesome.
He is very joyful and it makes me happy to know he is happy.

I feel very blessed to have such amazing friends and family.
I really feel so richly blessed to feel so much love from you.

I love you all loads

Week #83

My new companion is Elder Boegaerts!!!!!!

He is really awesome.
He is super friendly and we like to laugh a lot.
He is from Belgium.

This week, I do not know if you know this but, Le Tour de France started its first two legs in Corsica. So if you want to see what this beautiful island looks like you can watch the Highlights from Le Tour de France.
Some of the roads were closed but we made plans to work around these obstacles.

We have been able to see and teach the wonderful family every day this week.
They read the scriptures as a family and individually, as well as for their prayers.

Mom I am very happy to hear that your are feeling better now and that your are not sick. You are such a great example of love and service. You are always serving others. It is an incredible Christ-like attribute which you have. For School, I think I would like to go to either UBC Vancouver or BYU Provo but I am not sure. I do not need anything from home, I have everything I need but I thank you for asking. I will let you know if I ever do need something.

Dad you the man.
You always give really good talks at church.
You are a really cool guy, really smart.
Thanks for being a super hero

I love you all lots,
You are the coolest family ever.
